Third print

I have finished my third and final print of the series. The Text reads. You came crashing down around me, you pushed me under the water, but I feel I can surface now.
I was inspired by the work of Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai and his work Great Wave off of Kanagawa. I loved the style of his work and the feeling of the water.
The second image I went back in and added red paper on the life preserver. I'm not sure which one I prefer, I would love your feedback...

Fall is my favorite season, and I always enjoying taking photographs of the leaves!

This is the second print in the series. The first prints were all black and white and then I went back in and added the orange, after receiving input from my fellow print makers. I feel it gives it more punch!

I started by doing a line etch and the aquatinted to achieve the different lights and darks. The text reads, You caged me in, you trapped me into my sorrow, and you took away my freedom.

My series is on Rape and how it affects it's victims. This first print was a line etch and then I went back in and aquatinted the dandelion. I played around with different appliques and am happy with this teared effect.

The text reads, You are like the wind, you come when you are least expected, you take without asking, but mostly you take what isn't yours to take.

This is close up, of the same print.

This is a photograph I took this summer after rasberry picking. I thought I would add some of my phots to my blog as well.
